Ho'io (Fern Shoots) Salad

1/2 lb ho'io (fern shoots)
2 tomatoes, cubed
1 onion, sliced
1/4 cup chopped green onion
12 dried opae (shrimp)
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce


Clean and cut ho'io in 1-inch pieces. Blanch and drain. In a salad bowl, combine ho'io, tomatoes, and onion. Combine opae and soy sauce; add to salad before serving. Makes 6 servings.
